Wellness Therapies
Safe, science-backed treatments designed to enhance recovery, longevity, and performance.

Dr. Jason Sonners, DC, PhD, FMHC
Dr. Jason Sonners is the founder of NJ HBOT and HBOT USA and has spent nearly 20 years working in hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). A certified hyperbaric and functional medicine practitioner, educator, and researcher, he integrates hyperbaric oxygen therapy with nutrition, exercise physiology, detoxification, and comprehensive functional health strategies to support complex patient care.
Dr. Sonners' path into hyperbaric medicine began with a personal experience, using HBOT to recover from a neuropathic injury that had not responded to conventional or integrative therapies. After witnessing similarly meaningful outcomes in difficult clinical cases, including supporting his stepfather through multiple sclerosis, he recognized hyperbaric oxygen therapy as a critical and widely underutilized medical modality.
Driven to advance the field, Dr. Sonners pursued doctoral training in molecular biology, with research focused on hyperbaric oxygen mechanisms, longevity, and regenerative medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is the author of five books on hyperbaric oxygen therapy, including a widely used professional textbook and the Amazon best-selling Oxygen Under Pressure. He lectures internationally and leads HBOT training and certification programs for clinicians and hyperbaric technicians worldwide.
His mission is to responsibly grow the field of hyperbaric medicine, improving patient access while establishing and advancing best practices in clinical protocols, education, and safety standards.
